The Whiskered Guru

The Whiskered Guru
by Frank Andrews

The cat snores softly.
I ask her why are we here.
She yawns and stretches.

The cat snores softly.
I ask him why are we here.
He yawns and stretches.

(The English language needs some better ungendered pronouns.)

I’ll provide my own interpretation of this haiku in a future post.

For now, and always, I welcome your thoughts.

    Hi Frank,

SO glad to have found your blog (through Nick). Your book attempts to stay on my night table, but gets loaned and given away, so I have to keep buying more. No problem!

Can’t tell you how much the book has been a faithful companion for lo these many years. How can I subscribe to your blog? (I’m a latent Luddite). I’m hoping to get my stuff back in gear soon (out of commission for the last two years). When I’m up and running and getting a readership, how about if I interviewed you and otherwise promoted your book on my blog?

      Hello Ellen,
I guess I am also something of a Luddite. Today is the first day I became aware of your comment….about ten years ago!
I appreciate your enthusiasm for the book, The Art and Practice of Loving!
I have been contemplating, and finally have a semi-final draft, a second book, which I am tentatively calling Choosing A Life of Wisdom and Happiness.
If you would like, please send me your email address and I would be glad to send you a draft of the book that I’m so happy to have semi-completed. I don’t yet have a publisher, but hope it will be in print within the next six months or so. I look forward to hearing back from you.
